Summer's Over

Five nights and no northern lights. Just snowstorms.

I was getting into a normal sleeping routine - I wasn't taking forcibly long naps every afternoon. I was going for late night walks around the neighbourhood in light snowfall, and coming back home to watch The Big Short, over and over, and drink the night away one pot of tea at a time. It was like summer. The aurora withdrawals were real.

Tonight we ended all that, and greater joy could not be found anywhere in the world.
