Planting the Seed

Both literally, and figuratively actually.

There have been nights I've left the house feeling more optimistic.
However, as I said quietly once we had everyone ready to go, if we can get far enough out and keep that clear break (that we can't reach because of poor infrastructure - I promise this blog won't get too political, for now) a little within sight in the southeast, and the auroral conditions stay favourable enough to spur an auroral break-up - there is a very good chance we'll see her.

Either she was in the car with us when I spoke those words - and she loves us a lot, or we were very, very lucky tonight. Maybe both.
