Expect the Worst, Hope for the... Well, Better

It juuust almost felt like it was going to be one of those nights. Yellowknife was under a heap of cloud (although this was quickly resolved with a much shorter drive than anticipated), and the auroral conditions… Ohh, how they left room for, shall we say, improvement. How this reminds me of my high school report cards.

Tonight ended up being filled with, yes, a little passing cloud now and again, but more, surprisingly beautiful auroras consistent through the night.
